IDENTIGENE just launched a new website, now online at www.DNAtesting.com.
We re-designed the site to make it easier to read and make it faster for you to find the information you are looking for.
Paternity Tests:
The PharmacyFinder provides addresses and directions to the nearest pharmacy carrying the IDENTIGENE Home Paternity Test Kit.
Not sure if you need a home paternity test or if you need to order a court-admissible, legal paternity test? This section explains the differences and gives you a link to purchase a legal paternity test online from our new online ordering system. Maybe you need prenatal paternity testing? You will also find that information here.
Questions & Answers:
Browse our FAQs for the answer to your question. Search by topic or views and use the star rating system to let us know which answers where most helpful. If you don’t see your question, use the form provided to send a message directly to one of our Paternity Test Consultants.
The Question & Answer section also contains instructions on how to use the kit, how to read and understand your test results, and even a brief explanation of the DNA testing process.
More Tests:
That’s right. We test other relationships, too. Testing grandparents, aunts, uncles, even siblings can provide answers to paternity questions when the alleged father isn’t available for testing. All these DNA relationship tests are available for purchase online.
About IDENTIGENE:
Did you know IDENTIGENE is a fully-accredited, DNA testing lab? Under this tab you can learn about the IDENTIGENE Paternity Testing Laboratory, view copies of our certifications, and learn about the company and its partners.

This website is very difficult to navigate through. Things seem to be flowing around. It is very hard to find the information I need.
Ask Kate says
Hi Cindy!
Thanks for the feedback! If you where familiar with our old site, it had a LOT of information. Sort of Information Overload. With the new site we wanted to give just the information that people needed to get answers to their paternity questions.
If you don’t mind, could you let me know what you found confusing? What information where you looking for that you couldn’t find?
Amanda says
Hey Kate,
I was wondering how legit this pregnancy test is? Are professional lab techs perform this test? Is this the right option to choose if curious? And should the cotton swab turn all around in the inner cheek? For how long?
Kate says
Hi Amanda,
IDENTIGENE’s paternity test is performed in an accredited paternity testing lab. You can see IDENTIGENE’s lab accreditation here. The accreditation process means that IDENTIGENE’s paternity testing lab undergoes yearly reviews of it’s process for accuracy and professionalism.
The “peace of mind” paternity test, the one available from your local drug store, is a good test if you are looking for personal information only. IDENTIGENE also does legal purpose paternity tests, with chain of custody, that can be used if you need to use your paternity test results in court.
You are right on, the swab should be rubbed inside the cheek, turning the swab to coat all sides. Firmly rubbing the swab for 30 seconds should be sufficient. You can read more information on using the the IDENTIGENE paternity test kit here, or feel free to call any of our test consultants with questions (1-888-404-4363).
David says
Hello Kate. I just recently mailed in the swabs to be tested. I worry though because I followed the directions on the box as opposed to the folded direction pamphlet. I later noticed the pamphlet and read that you had to aggressively rub the cheek for 30 seconds. I did not do this to myself or the baby. If necessary will I be able to submit a second set of swabs to be tested free of charge? Will you also send me the second kit so that I do not have to purchase it again?
Thanks
Amber says
Hi David,
Of course. If we are not able to extract enough DNA to get a good profile we will ask for a recollection…at no charge. We send the collection supplies to you. That is if we need them. Thank you!!!
Samantha says
How many panels are completed for the paternity test and/or the sibling test?
Amber says
Hi Samantha,
We run panels to extract 16 specific markers (15 and the amelogenin gene, which is the sex chromosome). These markers make up the DNA profile that is used for comparison. I hope this answers your question. Please let us know if we can answer anything else for you.
Urijah says
If u have a test done and it says you are the father, is that 100% accurate with no chance of mistake?
KD says
The IDENTIGENE test process is 100% accurate. If each person swabbed is who they say they are, you can feel confident the results are accurate.
