DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC), located in Fairfield, Ohio, acquired Salt Lake City-based Identigene in December, 2016 and all paternity testing services are now being processed at the Ohio lab. It’s a change that no doubt brings with it many questions from you—our valued customer, so here are some quick answers!
Q: Is the DDC lab highly accredited for paternity testing?
A: Yes! The lab maintains the highest levels of accreditation for DNA testing from AABB, ANAB, CAP, and more, so you can be sure your test is in excellent hands.
Q: The business-reply envelope in my paternity testing kit is addressed to Salt Lake City. How do my samples get to Ohio for testing?
A: All samples sent to Salt Lake City are automatically forwarded via overnight mail to the lab in Ohio, so you can expect an additional business day for transit. No worries—the little extra travel time won’t affect the quality of the DNA.
IMPORTANT: If using the postage-paid mailing envelope included in the kit, please allow 7-10 business days for samples to arrive at the lab.

If you have not yet sent in your samples and want to expedite delivery time, we recommend putting the paper sample envelopes in a standard business-size envelope and mailing them directly. You can also overnight samples to the same address, if you prefer:

Q: How soon do I get my results?
A: Once samples arrive at the lab, testing turnaround time is two (2) business days (1-day and same-day results are also available for an extra fee.)
Q: Where do I set up the test online or log in to access my paternity testing results report?
A: You can set up your paternity test or log in for results right here on the Identigene website, by clicking the relevant button at the top of any page.
Q: Can I get my paternity test results over the phone?
A: No. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but DDC has a long-standing policy to not give results over the phone, for security and privacy reasons.
