There are misconceptions about DNA testing out there, and much of it comes from misinformed media. One is the idea that DNA testing can be done in less than twenty-four hours like on our favorite crime shows. There is some DNA testing that can be performed quickly and results returned in these super-short time frames, but it is outrageously expensive and therefore not feasible in most real-world applications. We work quickly and efficiently to ensure your results are available to you as soon as possible.
Paternity Fraud: a Two-Way Street
Paternity fraud is a hot topic . If you have searched for blogs about paternity and child support, you know there are numerous pages dedicated to protecting alleged fathers from “paternity fraud.”
In many people’s eyes, there are too many cases of men paying child support who do not need to be. This is a frustrating problem that can possibly be prevented by DNA paternity testing before support decisions are made. An example of an advocacy group working tirelessly to prevent and stop “fathers” being required to pay for children who are not their own is the US-CAPF (United States Citizens Against Paternity Fraud). Their website is www.paternityfraud.com.
Keep in mind that in addition to women naming fathers incorrectly, there are also plenty plenty of examples of men dodging paying child support in cases where they are known to be the father of child. This is paternity fraud too!
It’s an issue that plagues not only American courts but courts worldwide. What is the answer? Mandatory paternity testing at birth? If that’s not the answer, then what is? It’s a heated debate, for sure, and one that the courts ultimately may need to decide.

Which DNA Paternity Test do I Choose?
When you decide that you need a DNA Test you quickly realize the amount of options that stand between you and your answer. For someone new to DNA testing, deciding which test you need can seem daunting, if not impossible. There are many questions that need answers, but with a little information soon you will be able to decide which DNA test is best for you and your situation.
Generally, the first question to answer is: What are you trying to determine with DNA Testing? The most common answer is (you guessed it),”Am I the father of this child?” Or something very close to this. Once this question is answered, it’s time to decide which DNA Paternity Test is best for you.
Next, consider why you want the test. Do you need your results to be admissible in court, for child support, or for other legal purposes? If you hesitate at all, we recommend that you choose a Legal DNA Paternity Test. The reason is if at some time you need these results for any legal purpose, a personal “peace of mind” test will not be admissible and you will need to go through DNA testing all over again
