Many states are instituting ‘Co-Parenting Plans” for divorced or unwed parents. These plans replace the previous ‘traditional’ custody arrangements so that both parents have equal rights to raising their children. We started looking into these plans and many states have documents available online that provide an outline of sample plans. A simple internet search can put you in the right place. For example, you can search ‘co-parenting plan Oregon’ and one will pull up. If you have children and are not married to their biological mother or father, you may want to check out some of these sample plans.
