Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish have revealed they intend to partake in a paternity test to verify which one is the biological father of the baby boy they recently welcomed into their lives.
Zachary Jackson-Levon was born around Christmas with the help from a surrogate mother, and both submitted sperm for the conception of the beautiful baby boy.
This decision is contrary to the original opinion that the couple would not participate in paternity tests because they wanted the child to see both of them as equal parents.
Why paternity testing?
The couple has decided to have paternity testing completed to determine the child’s medical history. Elton John stated, ‘If it’s David, I’d be very proud,’ although he has also indicated that he would like his bloodline to continue.
The news of a paternity test
With the announcement of the paternity test came an interview with Barbara Walters. Because the child was taken to Los Angeles for the first four months of his life, Elton John revealed to Barbara Walters that milk from the surrogate mother was sent via FedEx to the proud parents in L.A.
