Check out this genetics site brought to you by the Stanford School of Medicine. It covers a lot of random information about genetics to help make sense of a complex science. It includes great articles about the ethics of stem cell research and more. It also has interactive tools to see the likelihood of having certain eye colors in your family along with lots of info about genetically-modified foods.

Question, can I get a swab from the baby and mother of the father to make sure he is the Daddy.
Identigene says
Hi Aurelia,
The most cost and time effective way to determine the paternity of a child is through a paternity test where the father, child and mother, if available, are tested. There are however, different ways to determine paternity of a child if the father is unavailable for testing. One way that we can do this, is as you describe is by using the alleged father’s parents. It is best if both grandparents of the child are available to test, but we can conduct testing with just one grandparent. We suggest that you call and talk to one of our friendly client support staff members to discuss what route would be best for your situation. Our phone number is 1-888-404-GENE (4363). Thank you for choosing IDENTIGENE!
