‘My job just doesn’t get any better than that!’ This is a great quote from Kimberly, one of IDENTIGENE’s dedicated Client Support Representatives. IDENTIGENE is privileged to play a part in many great family stories, and a few very special ones become etched in our company’s collective memory.
Kimberly’s story recalls a favorite memory about a client and her family. A woman wanted to find out if a particular man was her biological father, but unfortunately he had passed away. She called IDENTIGENE to see if there was a way to get a paternity answer even if the father was deceased. Kimberly explained that our laboratory could test a close relative to determine paternity. The client decided to move forward by testing a possible aunt. When the results were ready, several ‘hopeful’ relatives had gathered to share the moment of truth with her.
The test came back with the results they all wanted to hear and a celebration erupted! Tears of joy, words of gratitude and closure-this woman now had gained a family and was able to put this mystery to rest. Kimberly says, ‘My job just doesn’t get any better than that!’
